Lola Techie tells all
Mrs. Teresita Moreno, a.k.a. Lola Techie, of the successful Bayantel campaign, visited Tanglaw last Saturday, October 23, 2010, to share her experiences in the world of entertainment. The living room of Tanglaw was filled with young people who listened with interest as she told us of how she was asked to sign-up for an advertisement while claiming the cheque of her grandson, how she at first rejected the idea but conceded afterwards, how she overcame challenges and how she ended up liking the job.
Among all the things she shared, perhaps what most surprised and inspired the audience is her conviction that she was led to enter the world of lights and glamor for a reason. That is, to re-Christianize her environment.
This sense of mission led her to stand her ground, such as in refusing to perform an unpleasant dance move, even with the risk of losing the role. “I will never do anything to displease my Father God, especially on national TV,” she said.
She also mentioned that she chooses only a few of the project offers she receives. Besides, she does lot more things than shooting for movies and commercials. She is very active in her own parish and is very much involved in the formation of the youth. She also helps in compiling the encyclicals of the present Pope, in putting together and simplifying a number of documents about the Holy Mass and other sacraments, to transmit to the others, especially to the young generation, the beauty of her Faith.
Lola Techie said technology, especially social media, is for everyone to share and spread the good.
